On Wednesday, August 27th, the Junior High Boys Soccer team hosted Southridge at Cedar Crest. In the first half, Southridge controlled possession, but Forest Park was able to create some opportunities in counter-attack. About ten minutes in, Carson Kellems pressured the goalie, whose deep clearance fell to Forest Park. After a few passes, Blake Vaught floated a cross into dangerous space. Max Werne ran onto the pass and scored. Forest Park grew into the game, but the score remained 1-0. With about four minutes left, Parker Werne was attacking near the top of the eighteen, when a defender poked the ball to Max Werne who sent a rocket to the left of the goalie to give the Rangers some breathing room. The game ended 2-0.
