FP Boys Tennis Sweeps South Spencer 5-0 After a tough loss to Loogootee on Wednesday evening, the Rangers welcomed South Spencer to their first home match at Forest Park. The Rangers were able to get the job done pretty soundly with South Spencer also only having 5 players on their roster. With 5 players, South Spencer was forced to forfeit the 2 Doubles position. Coach Hochgesang decided to change up the lineup to see what outcome that would get him and the team. Junior Eli Brockman went from 1 Doubles to 1 Singles, moving brother Jace Brockman down to 2 Singles. Usual 2 Singles player, Miles Rea, moved to 1 Doubles with Alex Fischer, and Clayton Roesner stayed at 3 Singles. The Rangers were able to win 5-0 by only giving up a few games in each match. Eli Brockman, at 1 Singles, took a few games to adjust to the position change, but settled in and took care of business. Jace Brockman, also struggled in the start of both sets, but was able to trust his strokes and get the win. Clayton Roesner won his first Varsity match that wasn't a forfeit, winning both sets and only giving up 1 game to South Spencer's foreign exchange student. FP's Senior and Freshman duo at 1 Doubles was also able to get the win by only giving up 1 game in the second set. Overall, a good performance by the Rangers.
