On Thursday, August 7th, the Forest Park Junior High Boys Soccer Varsity team welcomed NE Dubois to Cedar Crest game field on a hot and humid evening. Early in the game, Collin Thomas got his foot on a cross from Max Werne for the opening goal. Five minutes later, Thomas scored again by heading in a corner kick from Carson Kellems. The game remained 2-0 until about halfway through the second half when NE Dubois scored two quick goals to tie the game. Forest Park managed to score two goals late to come away with a 4-2 win. For the third goal, Zach Cummings sent a cross from the right side. Max Werne settled the cross and then found Blake Vaught who fired a shot into the net from around the top of the eighteen. For the fourth and final goal, Collin Thomas attracted defenders in a dangerous spot and then sent a short, well-paced through ball to Bryson Becher who ran onto the ball around the pk spot and slammed his shot to the left of the goalie. Gavin Carroll played a key defensive role to keep the Jeeps away from the goal.
