On Tuesday, the Lady Rangers welcomed their final PAC opponent of the season, Washington Lady Hatchets, to Cedar Crest Intermediate for a match with PAC Title ramifications on the line. With a win, the Lady Rangers would be the 2026 outright champions, a loss would put them in a three-way-tie. The visitors came out ready to play and possessed the ball for the opening five minutes, but once the Lady Rangers were able to settle in a gain some possession, they began asking questions of their opponents backline. Both sides began pressing and it was the Lady Rangers who finally broke through when sophomore Ellie Meunier collected a direct ball over the top of the back line and fired a shot which beat the Lady Hatchet Keeper. Despite numerous attempts from both sides, the score remained 1-0 at the break. After halftime, the Lady Hatchets amped up their pressure and began pressing higher, but the stalwart defense led by senior captain Brynn Vaught, juniors Margrethe Langelund-Arnstrup and Ava Mohr with Katelyn Kippenbrock between the woodwork denied any and all attempts from the visitors. The Lady Rangers (13-1-1; 11-0 PAC) are the 2026 PAC Champions. This is their first outright championship since the merger, and their first since 2021. They are back in action to wrap up regular season play on Thursday, when they welcome Jasper to Cedar Crest Intermediate School for a 6:00PM kick-off. Goal: Ellie Meunier Assist: Mallory Morrison
