On Tuesday, fresh-off another PAC contest, the Lady Rangers welcomed the Southridge Lady Raiders to Cedar Crest Intermediate School for their 2nd-to-last PAC match of the season. Despite a slow start against talented group, the home side was able to get on the board in the 13' when Margrethe Langelund-Arnstrup play a direct ball over-the-top of the Lady Raider defense which was collected by sophomore Ellie Meunier and slotted past the keeper for a 1-0 advantage. Although they garnered several more chances in the opening period, they were unable to establish a definitive midfield presence and went into the break with one goal to the good. After some halftime, tactical adjustments, the Lady Rangers came out with a more possession-based mentality, which ultimately paid off. Meunier bagged her 2nd of the night in the 50' when she collected a slotted ball for a finish 12 yards out. A few moments later in the 57', senior Avari Boeglin delivered a corner kick, which was missed by the Lady Raider Keeper and tapped in by fellow senior Sydney Berger. The Lady Rangers would not secure a shut-out, however. In the 78', the very talented freshmen Alivia Elshoff fired an incredible left-footed shot from 40 yards out to beat the FP keeper. The Lady Rangers (12-1-1; 10-0 PAC) are not back in action until next Tuesday, September 29, when they welcome Washington to Cedar Crest Intermediate to claim an outright PAC Championship. The contest is slated for a 6:00PM kickoff with a half of Junior Varsity to follow. Goals: Ellie Meunier 2 & Sydney Berger 1 Assists: Avari Boeglin 2 & Margrethe Langelund-Arnstrup
