The Forest Park Rangers continued their strong stretch of play Monday night, putting together a dominant performance against the South Spencer Rebels and cruising to a 9-0 victory. Forest Park came out attacking from the opening whistle, controlling possession and putting pressure on the South Spencer defense. The Rangers broke through for the opening goal when Luke Meunier rose to head home a free kick from Parker Wolf, giving Forest Park an early 1-0 advantage. The Rangers continued to control the match and added a second goal when Gabe Schemenaur calmly converted from the penalty spot. Forest Park's offensive pressure continued to create opportunities, and Trevor James extended the lead to 3-0 when he finished a cross from Meunier. The Rangers carried the 3-0 advantage into halftime. In goal, Dexter Meyer was largely untested during the opening 40 minutes, making a couple of saves when called upon as the Forest Park defense kept the Rebels' attack under control. Forest Park continued to pour on the pressure in the second half. James added his second goal of the night to make it 4-0, with Meunier once again providing the assist. Hunter Osborne then found the back of the net to push the Rangers' advantage to 5-0. Schemenaur completed his hat trick with two more goals. His first of the second half came with an assist from Bryson Becher, before Schemenaur converted another free kick to make it 7-0. Becher then joined the scoring parade, adding a goal of his own to give Forest Park an 8-0 lead. The Rangers capped off the night's scoring when Max Werne found the back of the net, assisted by Bryant Cooper, bringing the final score to 9-0. The victory gives Forest Park another convincing performance as the Rangers continue their push through the final portion of the regular season. Forest Park's balanced attack featured goals from six different players, while the Rangers' defense and goalkeeping kept South Spencer off the scoreboard.
