On Monday, the #3 Ranked Lady Rangers traveled to Rockport, Indiana to take on PAC foe and potential sectional opponent South Spencer. Despite being down some key players, the Lady Rangers came out on top with a 2-1 victory. Senior Avari Boeglin opened the scoring in the 17' when she collected a ball at the top of the 18 yard box and beat two Lady Rebel defenders and slotted it to the far post for a 1-0 advantage. Despite numerous additional attempts, they were unable to beat the defense, and went into the break with a single goal edge. After some halftime tactical adjustments, the Lady Rangers cemented their victory when senior Aurora Jacob hammered home a loose ball in the box in the 54'. The contest would not go without some late drama, however, when South Spencer was awarded a penalty in the 75'. The home side converted, but the Lady Rangers were able to lock-down defensively and escape with a victory to remain flawless in PAC play. The Lady Rangers (11-1-1; 9-0 PAC) are back in action tomorrow, Tuesday, September 22 when they welcome Southridge to Cedar Crest Intermediate for a 6:00PM kickoff. Goals: Avari Boeglin & Aurora Jacob
