On Tuesday, September 15th, the boys junior high soccer team played a JV/V double header in Winslow against Pike Central. In the JV game, the Ranger took an early lead. William Schemenauer took the ball out of the air and found a charging Joshua Parra who put the Rangers in the lead. A few minutes later, Sebastian Sicard found Parra again with a well timed through ball to double the Ranger advantage. Sebastian had two more first half assists to complete a playmaker. To round out the scoring, Felix Schmuecker scored with a well-placed strike, and Parra scored again to complete his hattrick. The Rangers maintained control of the game from there to hold on to a 4-0 win. In the varsity game, the Rangers struggled to deal with a fast Pike Central forward who scored four goals for the Chargers. The Rangers created some opportunities in the second half but could not find the net. A strong Pike Central team won 6-0.
