FP Boys Tennis Sweeps Crawford County 5-0 The Forest Park Boys Tennis team welcomed the Crawford County Wolfpack to their home courts on Wednesday evening for a non-conference match. The Rangers came into this match after beating Boonville on Tuesday evening and having South Spencer on Thursday evening. The Rangers were able to get the job done in 45 minutes and walk off their home courts with some positivity. Jace Brockman, 1 Singles, came off the court with the win. Jace was able to move his opponent, work on his serves, and have a mix of strokes as well. Miles Rea, 2 Singles, cruised by his opponent by only giving up 1 game. Miles had great volleys and placement shots. Trey Benton, 3 Singles, had the night off this match due to Crawford County not having a 3 Singles guy. Eli Brockman and Clayton Roesner, 1 Doubles, swept their opponents by not letting them get a game and were the first ones off the courts. The 2 Seniors put their volleys away on the first opportunity and had great serves. Harrison Gutgsell and Parker Schnarr, 2 Doubles, won their first varsity match together as well. They had great lobs and volleys at the net to get the job done. Both freshmen continue to show great strides and improvement as the season continues. Coach Hochgesang was a lot more pleased after the Crawford County match compared to Boonville's match, and him and the team continue to be hungry as their season continues! The Rangers continue their season at South Spencer tonight where the Rebels only have 3 players. This match starts at 5:30. Wish the boys good luck!
