On Tuesday, the Lady Rangers traveled to Goebel Soccer Complex to take on potential sectional foe and last year's regional opponent, Evansville Christian Lady Eagles. The Lady Rangers started hot, getting on the board in the 9' courtesy of sophomore Ellie Meunier. Freshman, Morgan Kerber doubled the advantage in the 20' when she collected a ball at the top of the 18 and beat a defender for a far-bar finish. The Lady Rangers would cap their scoring off in the 33' when senior Avari Boeglin's shot careened of the post to the waiting foot of Ellie Meunier for her 2nd of the evening. Unfortunately, the Lady Eagles would get one back almost immediately when forward Hallie Peter broke down the Lady Ranger defense. The half would end 3-1. After some halftime adjustments, the Lady Rangers, unfortunately, came out flat and gave up a goal in the 43' and another one after an own-goal mistake by the backline. The visitors would have a chance to regain the lead via a Penalty Kick, but were unable to convert and the two sides remained deadlocked at the final whistle. The Lady Rangers (1-0-1; 1-0 (PAC)) are not back in action again until Tuesday, August 25 when they welcome Providence to CCI for a JV/Varsity Contest slated for a 6:00PM kickoff.
