The Forest Park JV Rangers grabbed an early lead Tuesday night, but North Posey used a big fourth inning to pull away for a 6-2 win. The Rangers got things started in the first inning. A dropped third strike brought home the first run, and Cash Laake followed with an RBI single down the right field line to make it 2-0. North Posey answered in the second inning, tying the game on a two-run double before taking control in the fourth with a four-run inning. Forest Park kept battling throughout the night and finished with five hits. Laake led the way with an RBI, while Trevor James, Griffin Haas, Rylan Fletcher, and Jace Brockman each added a hit. On the mound, Jarrett Dixon got the start and struck out two. The Rangers also flashed the leather defensively, turning two double plays during the game. Even with the tough result, Forest Park continued to compete inning by inning and showed flashes on both sides of the ball.
