The Forest Park Rangers picked up an 8-4 win over North Posey on Tuesday, using timely hitting and aggressive baserunning to stay in control throughout the night. Forest Park jumped out to an early lead in the first inning. Hudson King drove in the opening run with a groundout before a North Posey error helped bring home another run to make it 2-0. The Rangers continued to apply pressure offensively and stayed active on the bases all game long. Forest Park stole seven bases in the win, with Jaxon Lueken, King, and Damion Kline each swiping multiple bags. Lueken led the offense with a big night at the plate, collecting three hits in four at-bats. He singled twice early in the game before adding a triple in the sixth inning. Grant Fleck also turned in a strong performance with two hits. King helped both on the mound and at the plate. He earned the win after pitching six innings and allowing four runs while striking out four. Offensively, he drove in two runs from the middle of the lineup. North Posey stayed competitive throughout the game and finished with nine hits, but the Rangers answered key moments with timely offense and solid defense. Cohen Hoppenjans closed the game with a scoreless inning in relief, striking out two. Forest Park will look to keep the momentum going Thursday at Tecumseh.
