Ferdinand, Ind. — The Rangers held off the Boonville Pioneers on Thursday night, grinding out a 28–23 home victory. Forest Park trailed for most of the contest before outscoring the Pioneers 15–8 in the fourth quarter to take control. The Rangers overcame a tough night at the foul line, going just 4-for-18, but made the plays they needed down the stretch to secure the win. Gavin Carroll and Hudson Lueken provided the late offensive spark with each scoring 5 points in the final quarter. “It was ugly, but a win is a win,” said Rangers coach Aaron Berg. The victory extends the Forest Park 8th Grade Boys’ winning streak to three games as they look to keep the momentum rolling on Saturday, when they host Perry Central for an A and B doubleheader at 11am (Est).
