FP 7th Grade Boys Basketball beat Tell City 39-34 The Forest Park 7th Grade Boys had their fourth game of the season on Monday Night at Tell City. With the boys not practicing since Tuesday of last week, Coach Hochgesang did not know what to expect. FP and TC started this game off pretty balanced with the first quarter ending 6-5 in FP's favor. The second quarter, the Rangers were able to score the ball a lot easier. With two off balanced 3's by Cash Lueken, FP was able to extend their lead to 7 at halftime. After a good first half, Coach Hochgesang made sure to remind the boys to finish the game with four good quarters. The FP 7th graders had their best quarter in the 3rd quarter with FP scoring 18 points to Tell City's 8, extending the lead to 17 points. Michael Christmas was able to score 6 of his 10 points in the 3rd quarter, and the Rangers were able to hit two 3's from Hunter Lange and Cash Lueken again. With the Rangers up 17 points, Coach Hochgesang started some of his bench guys that had not gotten in the game yet. The Marksmen applied full court pressure and gave the Rangers some problems. The Rangers turned the ball over 13 times in this game and over half of those turnovers were in the fourth quarter. FP scored their first points in the fourth quarter with only 2 minutes left to go on a pair of free throws from Cash Lueken. The 7th grade boys finished the game in an ugly manner, but they ended up getting the win! The 7th Grade Boys team is now 2-2 and have Boonville on Thursday at home. Scoring vs Tell City: Cash Lueken : 11 points (three 3-pointers, 2/2 FTs) Michael Christmas : 10 points (2/3 FTs) Blake Morrison : 6 points Hunter Lange : 5 points (one 3-pointer) Zander Reyling-Schwartz : 4 points Declan Nord : 3 points (1/4 FTs)
