The 7th grade Lady Rangers returned to the court after Thanksgiving break with a strong home victory over county rival Northeast Dubois, winning 31–14. Despite a slow start that saw the team score just one point in the opening quarter, the Lady Rangers found their rhythm in the second and were able to control the game the rest of the way. Madelyn Berg led the scoring effort with 11 points, followed by Maci Combs with 9, Raylee Weyer with 7, and Elsie Warren's 4. After committing a season-high 29 turnovers in their last outing against Tecumseh prior to Thanksgiving break, the Lady Rangers showed poise and discipline, limiting their turnovers to just 8. On the boards, Berg and Warren each pulled down 6 rebounds, while Lyla Atkins and Annabelle Giesler added 2 apiece. Giesler also sparked the defense with 3 steals, Weyer added 2, and Dooley, Warren, Combs, and Berg each contributed 1. Giesler, Warren, and Weyer each had one assist. The Lady Rangers’ balanced attack and improved ball control proved to be the difference, setting a tone that will, hopefully, carry over into their next game on Thursday (home vs. Loogootee). The 7th grade girls basketball team moves to 4-1 on the season. Quarter scoring: Dubois 6-0-4-4: 14 FP 1-14-10-6: 31 Complete FP Scoring: Madelyn Berg 11 Maci Combs 9 Raylee Weyer 7 Elsie Warren 4
